The high water content in an emulsion flashes off quickly to give a cooling effect similar to that of alcohol, so it works well in an after-sun product. This is a natural lipophilic derivative of Ferulic Acid which is isolated from rice bran oil. It is an antioxidant, reduces and prevent erythema, acts as deodorant and soothes the skin. This ingredient acts as a deodorant and antioxidant which protects the skin from free radicals. It can absorb UVA and UVB rays, it reduces erythema and prevents erythema development. It can be used as antimicrobial in cosmetic formulations. INCI name: Ferulic acid
